First Aid Course.

The MEF Coaching Course will begin with a First Aid course. A mandatory pass in this course is essential to progress throughout the course. The First Aid Course is also open to management of equestrian establishments, volunteers, MEF officials and other riders.

As part of the instructor training and implementation of the MEF National Strategy the federation will be kicking off its instructor programme with a mandatory first aid course. We have decided to opt for a detailed comprehensive course which will offer the maximum safety to riders and competitors with an extra unit added focusing on spinal injuries. The aim of this programme is to give instructors the knowledge they need to handle any accidents which may occur when riding horses. A pass in this course will be considered mandatory to progress to further training courses being planned for later this year.
